Having studied Musical Theater at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy she graced the stage along side other powerhouses such as opera singer Jessye Norman and Grammy Award winner Mary J. While attending S.C.p.a she starred in several roles such as Cinderella in Cinderella, Mary in Babes in Toyland at Cincinnati’s Taft Theater, and as Joanne in The Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati’s production of Godspell as well as being a soloist for The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra her sophomore year in high school performing along side the legendary Mel Torme.
She was later enrolled into Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts where she studied Vocal Music, Drama, Musical Theater as well as Instrumental Music. Hailing from a long line of gospel singers, Brandi would become the first in her family to explore music outside of their deep- seated gospel roots. She has also performed internationally, guest starred on Broadway with Kristin Chenoweth, played sold-out engagements at 54 Below, sang the National Anthem at Fenway Park, headlined at New York’s famed Central Park Summerstage, The Rainbow Room, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre and has appeared with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, Goodspeed Opera House, St. Julie was honored to sit with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg In January 2020 to capture stories of her lifelong love of opera in one of her final interviews.
